Our group, based in the suburb of Washington DC, worked at present on mainly a voluntary basis to see the phase one completion of this website. We realized that there is a definite lack of correct and timely information available in regards to the vision, policies and just general contributions of H.H Mohammad bin Salman Al Saud towards the shaping of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. So, we decided a website commemorating and highlighting the objectives along with celebrating the achievements of H.H. Mohammad bin Salman Al Saud was definitely required.
In this regards, we felt it our obligation to do what we can with the resources available, to becoming the platform through which correct and timely information is presented and communicated to the public. The best way we feel was to devote a website focused on H.H. Mohammad bin Salman Al Saud, who the world sees as someone defining the future of the Kingdom. We would like for this to evolve and become a part and parcel of the Ministry of Communication’s strategy of disseminating information for the Prince directly.
The people in our group have previously done similar work by contributing to the development of the first site for H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum (http://www.sheikhmohammed.ae), the Ruler of Dubai. The site was then funded by H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum himself and now serves as the platform for information on his vision for Dubai, his objectives, achievements, highlights, projects and H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum in general.
It is our aim to do a similar project for H.H. Mohammad bin Salman Al-Saud, but with the deliberate change in domain from his name to the name www.SaudiSheikh.com. Reason being, we feel that though there have been many Sheikhs and Rulers of the Kingdom, if H.H. Mohammad bin Salman Al Saud is able to carry out his vision successfully, he will be the “Saudi Sheikh” for sure. This led us to create the site as “THE” Saudi Sheikh, where no other can replace that title on the internet.
With this vision, we will continue until we’re able to on a volunteer basis in enhancing and developing this site, but we would eventually like to institutionalize this by getting the right recognition and right resources behind the project, as in the previous case. One of the major challenges that lay ahead, along with the constant updating of the site with all the relevant and accurate news and updates, is the conversion into Arabic.
If anyone would like to contribute any resources such as time, information, talent, finance or anything else to further this project, please feel free to contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
